Branding and Marketing Internship at an Ambitious TravelTech Start-up (unpaid)

We are looking for an intern to support the CEO and our highly experienced Brand and Marketing Manager with building our brand and support our product launch planned for March 2022. Key tasks include but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing/ updating and finalizing the brand guide

  • Implementing the brand guidelines in all channels (SoMe, website, merchandise etc.)

  • Updating and improving the website incl. SEO, A/B tests, newsletter sign-up, cookies etc.

  • Running e.g. landing page tests to verify the suitable pricing level and test different designs

  • Developing a SoMe marketing and content strategy (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.) incl. target setting and monitoring the progress

  • Implementing the SoMe strategy, creating native content and taking the role as community manager

  • Developing and running a product launch marketing campaign (google ads, facebook ads, guerilla marketing, point-of-sales materials etc.)

  • Donig market research

  • Reviewing and testing our website and our MVP (minimum viable product)

  • Acquiring testers and collecting the first user feedback

  • Other tasks in the field of branding, marketing, front-end web development and business developoment.

What are we looking for?

  • The most important thing is motivation and attitude, this is crucial and if it's not there all your skills won't matter. So, if you are passionate, reliable and really want this, we'd love to hear from you

  • You should have completed a Bachelors degree

  • Multitalented and versatile profile with a marketing and communications background/ experience

  • Experience from or interest in working in a start-up

  • Structured and efficient, you get things done

  • Learner mentality and attentive towards feedback

  • You are comfortable with trying new things and reaching out to people like potential customers

  • Ideally you have experience with at least some of the following programms: Keynote, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and community manager programs, Figma, Wordpress etc.

  • Professional English level

  • Ideally, you also speak and write Danish

We are an early stage TravelTech startup with already two investors onboard namely Innovation Fund Denmark as well as Wonderful Copenhagen (tourism organization). Inga Stein Burgaard, the CEO, has also been selected for the Women-in-Tech Growth Support Programme, which is Europe’s only International Mentoring, Accelerator and Umbrella Venture Fund programme, designed to help women in tech launch, grow and scale digital/tech businesses.

Our mission is to make independent, authentic travels for families with younger kids easy and fun. Our first product are self-guided city tours inspired by a treasure hunt, wrapped into storytelling with small gamification elements. We will use an app to facilitate the tours and are currently developing the minimal viable product (MVP). We plan on testing the MVP in November and December and polish it for the commercial launch planned for March 2022, which is why we are looking for an intern to support the branding and marketing.


Practicalities about the position

  • Work location: remote work with daily virtual check-ins and weekly face-to-face meetings in central Copenhagen or Rungsted

  • Internship: 3-6 months full-time

  • Compensation: unpaid

  • Start date: asap - we review applications on an ongoing basis
