About Canute
At Canute we’re on a mission to help Nordic startups succeed internationally. We mainly do that with our three-day market entry programs abroad but also via event and networking activities in Denmark.
Our market-entry programs are currently available in Stockholm, Berlin, London and New York and are for Nordic startups ready to expand to the given market. During the program the participating startups get access to market knowledge and local network that can help them start and grow their business.
We’re a team of three and are located in Pilestræde in the center of Copenhagen where we share the building with other passionate startups and founders. Mia Grosen is the founder of Canute and has a background as a tech founder herself. Ellen De Bever is our Program Manager and responsible for all our international speakers and partners. Emil Brydensholt is our intern and responsible for all external communication. We’re a social team who love to have a Friday beer with the startups from the office and once a month we do a team day with a social activity. We enjoy great flexibility in our work and work remote or abroad when possible, as we’re all great travel geeks.
Your tasks as Communications & Marketing student worker/intern will primarily be assisting with:
Managing our social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram) with a data driven approach
Written communication flows (e.g. newsletters/emails) to startups, partners and speakers around events and programs.
Helping with the planning and hosting of Canute events in Denmark and Programs abroad.
Optimizing and automating digital platforms, integrations and smart ways of setting up external communication flows (Asana, Hubspot, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Contractbook, Wagtail - our website CRM system).
Ad hoc tasks as required
We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent communication skills (both textual, verbal and visual) in English (Danish preferred).
Has a passion for Social Media (Instagram and Linkedin) and is driven to lift our SoMe presence and help us establish the Canute brand even better.
Is detailed oriented
Is proactive and can work independently
Has affinity with startups/the startup ecosystem and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Is outgoing and likes to meet people and build a network.
Isn't afraid of more practical tasks during events and programs
The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and eager to put their own thoughts and ideas into practice. You are currently studying, ideally a degree in marketing, communication, branding, or similar, at Bachelor or Master level. Similar work experience is an advantage, but not necessary.
