Who are we?
EcoTree is a young, vibrant and successful French greentech startup, aiming to make the world a greener place by planting and developing sustainable forests right here in Europe.
Five years ago, a group of friends from France quit their jobs and created EcoTree. They were truly convinced that making investing in Mother Nature something easy, accessible, and financially viable, was the best way to engage people in environmental- friendly action. Since then, EcoTree has been growing rapidly and now has more than 55,000 individual tree-owners and close to 3,000 business clients, and besides many awards & institutional recognitions, we’ve recently been certified as a B-Corp organisation! On ecotree.green, in just a few clicks and starting at 15€, our private or corporate clients can develop their own portfolio of trees, thereby absorbing tons of CO2 in the next many years to come and helping preserving biodiversity, all while making a profit in the end! What’s not to like about that?
In late 2019, EcoTree has started an exciting international journey, with a primary focus on Northern Europe. This is where you come into the picture!
Who are you?
You are a business executive/sales person completely fluent in Dutch, who is passionate about climate change solutions and making a difference for the environment. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are not afraid of contacting new potential clients thanks to your outgoing nature and a passion for B2B sales. You will be part of a young-spirited vibrant as well as small but fast-growing team. More specifically, we are looking for someone with:
Proven track record in opening & developing new markets in B2B Sales.
Min. 5 years of experience in sales & business development in the Netherlands.
Solid theoretical strategic mindset, strengthened with an extensive “hands-on” experience.
Fluent in oral & written Dutch (native level). Fluent in oral & written English. French language skills a plus.
An interest in climate change and a passion for preserving the environment.... and our forests, of course.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
What will your responsibilities be?
Your mission will be to generate a strong commercial traction on the B2B Dutch market. We've already got solid traction on the B2C/individuals segment in the Netherlands, and we now need you to skyrocket similarly on the B2B/enterprises segment! More specifically, we'll expect you to:
Fuel our B2B sales pipeline with solid sourcing and qualifying of Dutch B2B prospects, as well as with incoming leads Manage & develop your portfolio of Dutch B2B clients and build long-term business relationships
Identify new potential B2B verticals in the Dutch market and come up with solutions that fit their needs Creating opportunities to promote EcoTree in the Netherlands through partnerships with a range of stakeholders. Guide and influence the promotion of EcoTree in the Netherlands
Based on the commercial traction you’ll generate, build a team of business developers to further expand commercially in the Netherlands.
