And Famly are...? Well it all started when our co-founder Henrik’s daughter was ready to start at daycare. He couldn’t believe the amount of work being done on paper - and how distant he felt from his first child during the day. The paper ‘parent’ books they exchanged once a month just weren’t cutting it. Together with his friend, our co-founder and CEO Anders, they set about solving that.


These days, the 75 of us building Famly talk about trying to do two things for our 3,200 customers:

  • Championing the vital work that goes into making that happen.


We do it with software that brings hundreds of thousands of parents closer to their child’s day while they’re away from them. We also make financial, pedagogical, and planning tools for more than 34,000 childcare professionals, saving them hours and reducing their admin stress.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll be leading our Staffing product team, which is arguably the team with the most opportunity to help in improving the finances of nurseries on a wider scale. The opportunity lies in ensuring the nursery is properly staffed and operates at a healthy occupancy level, as this means financial stability and ultimately secures the quality of the care that can be provided to the children.


To do this you will:

  • Own the process of discovering, prioritising, and specifying new features/projects in the team. This includes working together with the UX designer in conducting user research, analysing user behaviour, and formulating solutions.

  • Work together with the Head of Product in setting ambitious goals for the team.

  • Work together with other team members in planning and executing on these goals.

  • Ensure the overall quality of what is shipped to customers.

In short: It'll be your responsibility to make sure the right thing gets developed at the right time at the best possible quality.


You’ll thrive in this role if:

  • You have a strong understanding of the discovery process knowing how to mitigate product risks. This includes knowing when something is ready to get built.

  • You know how to utilize agile methodologies and show leadership when driving a team forward towards short and long term goals.

  • You’re well versed in the art of stakeholder management and understand how to set expectations even with some of the more powerful stakeholders.

  • You’re well-organised by nature.

  • You’re a good communicator, excellent at explaining the reasoning behind your proposals and decisions. Also, you’re good at providing and receiving feedback in a constructive way.

  • You have a real drive to understand the users' needs.

  • You have a “get shit done” entrepreneurial spirit, never waiting around for someone to tell you what to do next.

  • You can help shape the product management culture and processes at Famly.


You'll be working with:

The Staffing crew will consist of 4-5 brilliant engineers as well as a highly skilled UX/UI designer to begin with. The basic work that has been done in this domain already has shown how incredibly important it is Famly creates a dedicated product team for it and invests even more in it in the future.

You’ll be reporting directly to Nicolai, the Head of Product, and on a day-to-day basis you’ll be in close collaboration with the Director of Engineering, Adam, who manages the engineers in the crew.
