The position as Data scientist

In this role, you will help develop and implement machine learning models to detect abnormal behavior among LogPoint's customers, users, and services. We mainly rely on unsupervised learning and therefore special care is needed in evaluating the performance of the resulting models - do they detect the right anomalies? Do they return too many false positives?

Among a wide variety of tasks, you will be working on data-intensive systems in the cloud, reviewing code of peers, and be comfortable with giving and receiving constructive feedback.

About you

• Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or another relevant field

• 2-3 years experience in a data science/engineering role

• Fluency in Python and the NumPy/pandas/sci-kit-learn ecosystem

• Comfortable in SQL

• Track record of acquiring and communicating technical knowledge

• Experience in or willingness to learn Scala and Flink

• Experience with cloud services, data streaming technologies, and algorithms, as well as container orchestration such as Kubernetes is an added plus
