CREY is building the most accessible non-technical game creation ecosystem in the world. Taking formats traditionally known from professional studios and giving them to the creators in all of us. 

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join the team in our central Copenhagen office, working primarily on our editor tool. 

The person hired for this role will have some experience in designing user interfaces for desktop applications. You will have experience in designing professional grade tools for creativity, and now seek a new challenge to design a different kind of tool. A tool that makes it easy for everyone to make great games regardless of experience. 

Responsibilities 

 As part of the product design team, you will work closely with other product designers, and even closer with a talented team of game artists, animators and developers to translate what it takes to make a great game, into an intuitive interface and a memorable user experience. 

You will identify user needs, work with a team to define solutions, wireframe, prototype and validate your work. You will take this work all the way through to pixel perfect design and work with producers to ensure it is successfully implemented and iterated after delivery. 

Personal Attributes 

You are a creative mind that can take a vision, bring it to life and push beyond what is expected. The role has a focus on 3D graphical user interface design, so you should have a mature design style and be familiar with common patters in that field. Ideally having experience in the gaming industry. 

You will come to work with a collaborative mindset, knowing when to focus and deliver to a high quality. The ideal person is sharp, confident in presenting, and proactive, but also humble and not afraid to receive feedback or ask questions. 

Knowledge & Experience 

• Solid experience working hands-on with desktop application design and a portfolio to show it 

• Exceptional visual design skills 

• Knowledge of best practice in 3D graphical user interface 

• Some experience or desire to work cross platform on web or app UI 

• Excellent verbal and spoken communication skills, confident to articulate the reasons behind your decisions to a diverse audience 

• Experience in gathering user insight to validate your work 

• Expert skill level using Figma or an equivalent 

• Experience in developing and maintaining design systems 

• Comfortable running workshops and gathering insight from the team 

• Ability to manage priorities, timings, and to collaborate with other teams and stakeholders 

• Fluent in English (spoken and written) 

• Experience in gaming and a passion for game creation
