Pie Systems is looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Marketing to join our European team in our HQ in central Copenhagen.

Pie Systems is building a platform to support, build, and expand tourism through a digital approach, starting with the $70B+ tax free shopping industry. Our mission is “Empowering local partners, globally”. We seek to empower local partners with data, analytics, and marketing to help grow sales and spend by tourists at local establishments including retail shops, restaurants, hotels, etc. For store partners, our tax free platform is digital, efficient, and free to use. The tourist-facing Pie VAT app enables more touch points with tourists as they are abroad, encouraging easy exploration, discovery, and shopping.


These will be your core responsibilities:

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing Nordics to build the overall strategy and structure of our marketing and communications efforts in our largest region. This includes but is not limited to the oversight of all aspects of internal and external digital marketing; brand messaging; content marketing; media relations; event management; and overall brand management. You’ll work directly with GM Nordics and CEO to further establish our company as a leading market force, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all teams in the company, including Sales, Engineering, Business Development, Product, and Customer Success. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced marketer who’s looking to develop and deliver a fully integrated marketing strategy. In addition, you will experience a real start up and international environment with a great team working from multiple countries.


What you’ll be working on:

  • Manage the marketing plan budget and establish goals and objectives for all marketing activities, track results and report on completion with company management contacts on a regular basis.

  • Work closely with Management and Sales to develop and implement a winning lead generation strategy.

  • Ensure that all marketing material, and all initiatives, are unified and represent value to customers, including webinars, white papers, and case studies.

  • Manage the company’s website, blog, SEO/SEM programs, resource center, and other marketing initiatives.

  • Conduct surveys as needed to determine position in the market and advance aggressive marketing plans targeted to addressing customer needs.

  • Own communication of marketing information throughout the company as requested and/or required.

  • Managing and controlling the execution of the marketing budget.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders (in product, engineering, sales and operations) to identify new opportunities to collaborate and drive customer acquisition, retention and reach.


Who you are:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Marketing Manager, or similar role.

  • You’re looking for a fresh challenge and are prepared to roll your sleeves up, equally at ease being operational and strategic.

  • Have demonstrable experience from chart-busting marketing teams, preferably in the financial services and/or B2B spaces selling to small and medium sized businesses.

  • Have a proven track record of leading and executing fully integrated marketing strategies to increase brand reach, user acquisition, engagement, retention and meeting/exceeding revenue and profitability goals.

  • Are an excellent communicator; persuasive and collaborative.

  • You leverage data to help you achieve set goals via methodical execution and can adjust marketing tactics as the company scales.

  • You have full professional proficiency in Danish and English both written and oral.
