Who we are

Åbn (Danish for “Open”), is an engineering start-up focused on improving indoor climate. Mostly targeting B2B customers, our product, the CLOUD, is a CO2 lamp that visualizes the air quality of a room, thereby helping schools, hospitals and offices improve their indoor climate.

The Position

We are looking for a Business Development Intern to lead our expansion in Germany. Åbn is already very successful in Denmark. Now, we expand to new markets and you can take on loads of responsibility by helping us sell our products and communicate our mission effectively in Germany. The job involves building the market in terms of contacting possible distributors, municipalities, attending fairs, as well as continuously growing the customer base. 

Your Responsibilities

• Research, identify and develop our business opportunities in the German market

• Generate leads and contact prospective B2B customers, such as municipalities, organisations and companies via phone, email, or in-person

• Effectively communicate the mission and product of Åbn to potential customers

• Overseeing our development in the German market

What we look for

• Native German speaker and fluent in English

• Good understanding of the German market and culture

• Strong communication skills

• A self-starter that is proactive, willing to take on a lot of responsibility, and take initiative

• Previous experience in Business Development or Sales is a plus, but not a must

• Able to work 10-15 hours per week
