Job Description 

We are looking for a Head of Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join us as we innovate new machine learning and language processing techniques to detect subconscious bias in language. We’re based in Copenhagen, but remote is also OK. 

We’re looking for someone senior to mid-level who has experience in machine learning, natural language processing, linguistics, as well as experience directing research efforts in a non-academic setting.  

You will be expected to coordinate and direct projects to completion while keeping customer-readiness in mind. You will be working directly with our NLP researcher and software development team, exploring and innovating on procedures to best detect bias in text at-scale, and you will be guiding them all the way from experiment to production-ready product. 

Your profile 

You believe normalizing diversity and empowering companies to be more inclusive is important, and you also share our key values of compassion, respect and integrity. At the same time, you would like to be an integral part of our team, contribute with your expertise, further develop your skills with us and make every effort to ensure that our mission is achieved. 

You should also: 

• Have an accredited degree in Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or equivalent 

• Have  4 years experience applying machine learning techniques in a coding framework (eg Matlab or Python/Jupyter or C++ or equivalent) 

• Have 2 years experience applying machine learning/NLP in a non-academic setting 

• Have well-tested project management skills 

• Have a deep interest in transforming the theoretical into the practical 

You will be reporting directly to our CTO. 

Note for Remote Applicants
