Job Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps/Backend Engineer to join us as we scale our software and improve our tooling and processes. We’re based in Copenhagen, but remote is also OK. (Within the EU) 

We’re looking for someone senior to mid-level who has experience in scaling software, making software more performant, and improving development tools. This includes database scaling (MySQL), in-memory cacheing (Redis), virtualization, server scripting using Ansible/Chef/Puppet.   

Our software is also machine-learning intensive, so part of this role would be taking crude, proof-of-concept level machine-learning code written in Python and scaling and refactoring it in a way that makes it performant and production-ready.  


Your profile 

 You believe normalizing diversity and empowering companies to be more inclusive is important, and you also share our key values of compassion, respect and integrity. At the same time, you would like to be an integral part of our team, contribute with your expertise, further develop your skills with us and make every effort to ensure that our mission succeeds.  

You should also:  

  • Have 5 years experience with Linux Systems Administration  

  • Have 4 years experience with Python  

  • Have 3 years experience with Ansible/Chef/Puppet or equivalent server scripting tool  

  • Have a solid understanding of Linux/POSIX operating system internals (pipes, signals, process escalation etc.)  

  • Have familiarity with a command-line debugger (GDB or equivalent)  

  • Have familiarity with a profiler utility (Gprof or equivalent)  

  • Have an interest in Machine Learning 

  • Be security-minded  


You will be reporting directly to our CTO.
