Your role

As an integral part of the marketing team you are the lead and the go-to person for all acquisition and engagement tasks connected to design: prioritisation, creative planning, finding the optimal solutions for the job, creating and/or outsourcing top-of-the-class designs and carrying projects efficiently through from start to finish. Your daily work is a healthy mix of collaboration, delivering designs and thinking outside the box.

Your “home base” is Selma's design team. You’ll work with the guidance of Head of Design and alongside Senior UX/UI designer. The design team’s shared responsibility is to polish and shepherd the Selma brand – making sure our product looks lovely across all touchpoints. We value smooth DesignOps, and provide team and partners with clear updates about work-in-progress and easy access to well-maintained, consistent libraries and templates.

Your skills & experience

• Visual craftsmanship: professional graphic design and storytelling skills.

  In-house, we work with e.g. online ads, product mockups, vector and pixel art, photo and video editing, SoMe posts and stories, OOH and swag – outsourcing bigger projects if needed.

• Mastery with design tools and ability to pick up new methods quickly.

  We use Adobe, Canva, Figma, plugins and any other tools relevant for the task.

• Comfort with designing for scale

  We build towards reusable templates and consistent assets libraries. 

• Track record of creating promotional and engagement content for digital services.

  We work with bread & butter channels (e.g. banner ads, blog, LinkedIn, Facebook) and love to experiment (OOH, TikTok, IG reels)

• Passion to get the job done well – with the optimal creative solution and effort

• Competence to prioritise and self-manage your work and schedule

• Preference to work side-by-side with the team, get feedback and iterate fast 

• Ability to carry out brand thoughtfully and elegantly at every touchpoint

• Calm endeavour that helps you to carry design thru from raw ideas to execution

• Courage to learn about finance, untangle abstract challenges and ask questions

   We’ll talk about your experience, portfolio and expectations for this position – and you can ask everything you want about Selma!

1. Chat with the marketing team

   Get to know the people and the work in a relaxed call.

2. Co-design exercise

   Top few candidates will be invited for a co-design exercise. Together with the marketing team, you will be solving a real-life design challenge. From you, this will take around 2-3 hours in preparations and a follow-up sync with the Head of Design. We’ll set a suitable schedule together! :)

3. A final talk

   Let's bring our CEO to the table and have the final talk about you starting at Selma.
