We are developing Ember Sword, a groundbreaking platform-agnostic and Free-to-Play MMORPG Game set in a player-driven fantasy universe, with digital collectible cosmetics and a blockchain-enhanced economy.

It’s a universe where the players control the world through true land ownership. A game in which all valuable cosmetic items are tokenized as scarce non-fungible crypto-collectibles, which are acquired by players through gameplay objectives, instead of sold through loot boxes. With a fan community spanning more than a hundred thousand people, a strong advisory board, a $2M investment round this year, and a very successful first land sale campaign ($1.5M) that sold out in just a few hours, Ember Sword is aiming high and growing fast.

The MUSTs

• You have experience in graphic design, user-interface design/UIX, and creating vector and/or rasterized illustrations (Photoshop, Illustrator, Affinity Designer)

• You have a good eye for compositions, post-processing, and preparing visual media for public consumption

• You are willing to relocate to Denmark (Aarhus or Copenhagen) or able to convince us that you won't have to.

The GOOD TO HAVEs

• Genuine love for MMOs and/or RPGs

• You're proficient in motion graphics and video editing using After Effects

• You have experience with conventional 3D art production software (3ds max, Maya, ZBrush, Blender, Substance Painter, etc)

• You have experience with high to low poly workflows, modular modeling, UV unwrapping, optimizing 3D mesh geometry, importing/testing art assets

• Experience working with marketing materials

• Knowledge of conventional web design principles

• Experience in shipping a game on PC/Browser or with a team that did it

Your TO DOs

• Collaborate with an art team and the art department leads to create UI/UX art assets for an MMORPG and website

• Create 2D illustrations, UI designs, marketing materials, iconography, and more

• Manage your asset updates daily with our task management protocol

• Ember Sword is developed using a custom game engine

• We have a very agile approach to development, with a very flat hierarchy

• Job starts right away (as soon as possible)

• This is a full-time position
