As the Supply Chain Planning Lead, you will touch all areas of the value chain – from new product launches through fulfilment of speakers to our end customers. Therefore, the role requires an astute, analytical and communicative professional able to manage key suppliers remotely, as well as a range of internal stakeholders locally. The spectrum of responsibility is wide – from working with Product Development and Procurement on new products to be launched in 12 months’ time, to managing our production schedule in China for cargo to be shipped in 12 weeks’ time, to short term stock allocation amongst our channels to be delivered in 12 days’ time.
The role requires an all-rounder who can quickly break down complex supply chain challenges, distill large amounts of information to rapidly understand the implications, and think tactically for short-term firefighting as well as strategically for long-term planning and value creation. As SOUNDBOKS is a fast-growing company, a large aspect of this role is managing the complexity which comes with our ever-growing portfolio of products, suppliers, sales channels and markets.

As our new Supply Chain Planning Lead you’ll join a tightly knit team of 7 other Supply Chain professionals working to ensure our speakers can get from A to B in the most efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner. On the daily that will translate into the tasks and responsibilities listed below:
Forecasting, Production and Operations Planning – Ensure constant production and availability of products to fuel our strong growth and expanding market presence
Convert online and retail demand forecasts for our various markets into production plan forecasts at our key suppliers in China
Ensure planning, ordering and availability of critical and long lead time components for production
Monitor suppliers’ production plans to ensure delivery schedules are met and outbound shipments are coordinated to the respective markets
Work closely with suppliers to overcome ad hoc challenges, such as upstream component shortages and production bottlenecks
Collaborate with marketing and sales to ensure product availability for promotions and growth initiatives
Anticipate market disturbances and plan contingencies
Supply Chain Analytics and Performance Management
Performance measurement and continuous improvement of the various supply chain segments - inbound ocean; inbound road; warehousing and distribution
S&OP metric tracking, reporting and modeling
New Product, Channel and Supplier Integration
Ensure advanced forecasting and production planning of new products for launch
Work closely with sales to integrate new retail partners and sales channels, as well as entry into new geographical markets
Ensure the seamless integration of new suppliers into our existing supply chain processes
Drive strategic projects:
Develop / challenge business cases for commercial initiatives, by mapping out the cost impacts in the supply chain to test commercial feasibility
Support strategic initiatives aimed at reducing supply chain costs - through digitalization, process optimization and network/footprint redesign
Conduct analysis to identify improvement areas in the supply chain to eliminate waste, drive efficiency and improve reliability

You have worked a minimum of 5 years in a supply chain function and possess a solid understanding of global supply chain processes, performance metrics and improvement methodologies, or perhaps you spent time in an operations focused consulting or corporate business development function.
You are an open minded and positive team player, willing to listen to other’s opinions and evaluate the merit with objectivity.
You are a natural when it comes to leading project teams to achieve milestones and objectives by gathering cross-functional support, coordinating team efforts, and supporting others to structure their workstreams.
You are proactive, solution-oriented and not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo. You thrive in an environment with minimal oversight as you independently analyze, evaluate and make business critical decisions.
You are excellent in a spreadsheet and master the art of data management in working with different sets of data. It's definitely a plus if you also possess some programming skills (VBA, SQL, Python, etc.)
You have experience navigating complex supply chains, ideally within consumer goods or the physical flow of goods.
