At Cirqle Biomedical, our mission is to reinvent contraception. By leveraging the body’s own mucus barrier we are developing the first non-hormonal, on-demand contraceptive for women that could impact millions of lives.  We are looking for a full-time intern who would assist in the lab side of Cirqle Biomedical for either a 6 or 12-month internship. Start date will be in August 2021. As an R&D Intern, you will work closely with expert researchers on mucus engineering projects for contraception. You will have an opportunity to learn disciplined lab research techniques and skills from experts. You will report to the Head of Research.

Responsibilities:

• Cell based assays incl. fluorescent labelling and imaging, image analysis, cellular viability assays

• Microbiology assays.

• Data analysis and reporting

• Conducting preliminary proof of concept experiments.

• Support the science team at Cirqle Biomedical with lab operations.

Ideal profile:

• Experience in laboratory work incl. cell culture, fluorescence microscopy

• Experience in  image analysis using ImageJ, QuPath or similar (experience in automated analysis, coding and AI is a plus).

• Scientific background in biology, molecular biology, immunology or biotechnology

• Able to work 20-40 hr/week on a regular schedule.

• Desire to learn and grow in a startup.

• Authorized to do an internship in Denmark.
