Community builder (volunteer position)
Engagement, collaborations and culture don’t just happen. They require good ideas and prepared facilitation. The community builders are a team who develops and shapes the culture for the Station community through activities, involvement and communication.
Details of the Community Builders Team
Team size: 10-12
Period: September – July. If you can only do shorter time just let us know
Meetings: weekly for 1.5 hours
Time commitment: 3-5 hours/week
To summarize it, the community builders
1. are the central link in making the community interact in a way that catalyses innovation
2. engages students to collaborate across programmes, organisations and projects
3. develop, plan, facilitate and communicate activities and initiatives

The roles & responsibilities in the team
Most of us join the team because we know that collaboration leads to the most innovative ideas and we care about engagement and culture to reinforce it! We work as a team and distribute responsibilities during the onboarding. Responsibilities can change during the program, according to how your interests develop, or if you would like to challenge yourself in another role.
You can apply for specific responsibilities from the beginning if some are more attractive to you - or hear more about them before deciding.
Overview of responsibilities, we are recruiting for:
Event Coordinator
Coordinate responsibilities, tasks, resources and timelines for events. These are:
Innovation Gatherings (Monthly during the semesters)
Welcome to Station (At each semester start)
Station Treasure Hunt (Yearly one time event)
Celebration Event for Falcons & Shapers (Once or twice a year)
Plan and facilitate changemaker workshops for students
Optional: Internal Event
Time commitment: 2-3 hours / week
Qualifications: Structured, Thorough & Descriptive, Can delegate tasks
Workshop facilitator
Design and facilitates workshops for the community at Innovation Gatherings and Station Academy (educational workshops)
Time commitment: 1 hour in the week with an innovation gathering or Station Academy workshop
Qualifications: Facilitation skills, Creative, Educational methodologies
EdTech Designer
The EdTech Designer is a person who enjoys being updated about innovation in the field of education and wants to experiment with a real brand-new educational project.
Time commitment: 2 hours every other week
Qualifications: Passionate about educational innovations
Community manager
Manages the community by supporting programmes, organisations and projects (POPs) in the community. This could be about how to interact with Station as an organisation or use Station physically, where to find information about events or who might be interesting to collaborate with. There are 6 community managers for the POPs in Station and 2 for the members in Station. The POPs Community Managers will be involved to some extend in

Tours
Connect volunteers with ambassador coordinators for Station

Social Badass
Facilitates social activities and sets the standard for all the non-professional interaction to make people feel welcome and included. This could be yoga events, friday bars or structures for social nudging. Social Badasses will be involved in

Coordinates and engages volunteers across the community to become ambassadors for Station in their own study programs or networks. The most important task is to

Supports the team members in personal development, collaborating internally and recruiting new community builders. Will
