Blue Lobster is a platform that allows sustainable fishermen to sell their fish directly to their customers. Through our platform, we bring the freshest fish to consumers within hours of it being caught, and are able to keep prices at a competitive level, while ensuring that fishermen are paid 2-4 times what they usually earn.

We are not an eCommerce company - we’re building our fresh fish marketplace with bespoke apps and logistics technology to perfectly solve the challenges of fishermen and fish consumers. And this is your chance to join a growth startup at the forefront of sustainability technology.

We are looking for a third leg on the cofounding team - specifically someone with a strong technical background who has the work ethics, strategic inclinations and passion to bring us to the next level.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead our teach team with nuanced sensitivity to our operations

• Prioritize and plan upcoming features

• Think long-term and strategically to implement technologies that enable us to scale

• Build the app experience for fishermen and their customers

• Work with the product team to review user feedback

• Work with our developers to prioritise the technical roadmap in line with the company roadmap

You have experience with the following:

• Strong leadership

• Project management experience, preferably prior startup CTO experience

• Robust full-stack experience

• Entrepreneurial inclination

• Professional experience with React Native and GraphQL

• Basic knowledge of backend frameworks (we use Django)

• Agile/Scrum development process

• Knowledge of iOS and Android design patterns
