As our new Digital Marketing Manager, you will get the possibility of building your very own marketing team, which you will be working closely with on a wide range of communication tasks. You will also function as the intermediary between your team and other relevant stakeholders – both internally AND externally, which means that it is imperative that you are an organizer at heart. Though, your main responsibility will be to help us get our message across on our website/s, SoMe platforms, and materials for our regional competitions, as well as other international events.

We are currently established in 11 regions, which are; Nordic Startup Awards, Central European Startup Awards, Southern European Startup Awards, Euro-Asian Startup Awards, ASEAN Startup Awards, SAARC Startup Awards, Southern Africa Startup Awards – and for season 2021 we have launched our regional presence across the rest of the African continent, which further encompasses regions under the African Startup Awards umbrella such as; Northern Africa Startup Awards, Central Africa Startup, Eastern Africa Startup Awards and Western Africa Startup Awards.

It is crucial that you gain a broad understanding of our brands - both separately from one another but also in terms of their interconnectedness and interplay with our global vision. This will form the basis of your marketing planning and make it more tangible for you and your team to create relevant and engaging campaigns for all our SoMe channels.
Your technical qualifications should encompass:
Familiarity/experience with Adobe’s Creative Cloud applications; preferably Photoshop and Illustrator:video software is a plus but not a requirement.
Ability to follow style guides, instructions, and critique feedback.
Proper grammar usage, spelling, and quality of writing is imperative for this position.
Rigorous eye for details and well organized.
Ability to translate brand mission and values into dynamic and captivating visuals.

Your main responsibilities will roughly be the following:
Brainstorming SoMe campaigns/plan SoMe strategy. Managing all our SoMe channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).
Content creation for our brands independently/in collaboration with your marketing team.
Work in the execution of internal and external communications, such as client newsletters, infographics, PowerPoint/Google slide presentations, web design, event branding, etc.
Understand and incorporate brand standards in creative elements to ensure uniformity and consistency of the brand in communications in all of our channels.
Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
Roughly, the working hours are 12,5 hours per week but expect weeks where this can be more. It will not be a job where you will count the hours.
