Shape Ventures is launching our newest startup Viavolo with a mission to help parents raise their kids better. We have the product, design and marketing team in place and we are now looking for the first software developer to join Viavolo.

Our product is a digital development platform for new parents, with video and podcast content. Your job will be to build the web-based platform from the ground and up. You will be working closely with the existing 4 person team and have access to sparring with experienced software developers in Shape. We have not yet made decisions about what underlying technologies to use for backend and frontend development so it will be your responsibility to make tech decisions like that.

The content for the platform is produced by leading profiles in the area of child and family psychology and by prominent public figures. The UX and UI design of the platform is made by designers from Shape with lots of experience in designing great products.

Shape Ventures has vast experience in launching successful SaaS startups and we are setting the team up for success by bringing all our experience in engineering, design, and business to the table.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A full-stack developer eager to join a startup as the first technical employee and build a great product from scratch.

• Experience working with modern frontend technologies such as React.js

• Experience with backend technologies and API design. We generally like technologies like Kotlin, Elixir and Rails so if you have experience with any of that it's great, but otherwise we are also very open to go with another technology you may have experience in using.

• Motivation to become a part of a passionate multidisciplinary startup team with a mission.

Our cozy office is located on Islands Brygge where we share facilities and good times with other Shape Ventures startups.
