We are seeking an experienced full stack developer to join our team full time.

The opportunity

This is an opportunity to be central part of the exciting scale-up phase of a company with big ambitions. You will join a growing team of 10 experienced and ambitious people based at Nomad Workspace. 

You will be in a charge of our infrastructure, frontend and backend for both our iOS, Android and web app. You will have a lot of freedom to choose the technologies you want to work with and the setup you want to make.

You will become an important part of our core product team of 4 and your main objective will be to expand our mobile apps, build new web based apps and deliver great digital experiences.

You are a creative person that loves building customer-centric products. You enjoy to have the end-to-end responsibility of developing a great user experience, with stable and solid code. You juggle effortlessly between designing an API and connecting a beautiful UI to it. You are a team player, who prefers to work in agile iterations and you are great at communicating technical limitations and trade-offs in layman terms.

Your responsibilities

• iOS and Android app (JavaScript, React Native, Expo, and Redux)

• Web frontend (JavaScript, React, Gatsby)

• Backend API (Node.js, PostgreSQL, Express, Socket.io)

• Working alongside design and product in agile sprints

• Test and QA of features.

• Fix bugs and ensure test scenarios are updated, while minimising regression issues 

• All deployment is on AWS, and we use various external services like Segment, Mixpanel and Postmark

• Publishing applications to Google Play store, Apple app store.

Requirements

• Fluent in JavaScript (5 years experience)

• 3 years experience with AWS services, in particular: AppSync (GraphQL), Lambda, Cognito (IAM), Aurora (PostgreSQL)

• Thorough understanding of mobile and web user experience

• Have worked with React Native/Expo or similar frameworks

• Knows how to build and evolve RESTful APIs and Microservices

• Ability to resolves integration issues

• Proficiency with Git and GitHub

• Experience in working with agile methodologies and cross-functional teams is a plus

• Some experience in Behaviour Driven Development and Design Thinking is a plus
