Rokoko is a rapidly growing tech startup providing motion capture and animation tools for the global entertainment industry. Our customers include global top-tier game, film, AR/VR, and VFX producers as well as thousands of indie creators making unique content all over the world. Our vision is to enable every creator to do 3D animation - intuitively, collaboratively, and fast.
Rokoko is looking for a Product Designer to expand our product and design focus and build even better and more intuitive animation software tools for our creative users worldwide. This role is central to Rokoko's growth.
You'll be the first designer in our Rokoko Studio product team in Copenhagen, where you'll work on software tools for the creative industry and play a key role in how we enable and structure design at Rokoko.
In your first year at Rokoko, you'll help us build and launch the next version of Rokoko Studio with the cross-disciplinary Studio team:
Lead design for Rokoko Studio in the current build phase, through launch, and when the product is live.
Establish a human-centered design process where user research informs and guides the product team's work through an understanding of users’ contexts, behaviours and needs.
Articulate and drive a UX/design vision for Rokoko Studio through understanding, communicating, and refining the key points that direct or constrain the product experience.
Partner with the PM for Rokoko Studio and the rest of the team to create and revise our discovery and delivery plans with appropriate research and design steps.
Review and challenge / validate existing design.
Be a champion of quality at all levels of the software design process.
Contribute to hiring and growing the team.
You are fascinated and passionate about creating digital products yourself. If you have experience with 3D animation and multi-media design it's a plus.
You can design products that enable intuitive and playful experiences for the people that use them, even if the software under the hood is complex.
You are familiar with software and hardware design practices, and have experience with collaboration in cross-functional teams.
You understand how hypotheses and experimentation can be used to direct design and explore different options around a given problem or opportunity.
You see user experience as an integral part of day-to-day team conversations.
You find and pursue new ideas on your own initiative.
You are efficient in idea and concept evaluation, enabling you to quickly identify the best possible solutions.
You love building and testing prototypes and you see them as effective ways to gain validated learning and steer development.
You have a relevant design education and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a product designer on software products.
You are in (or can relocate to) Copenhagen, and have work permission to work in the EU.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
