How do we do that you may ask?
By building an intelligent nutrition and workout solution helping coaches (personal trainers, dieticians, and health professionals) scale their business while preserving a high degree of customization. Through our full-suite personal trainer CRM platform and coach-branded web and mobile apps, the clients can follow meal and workout plans, track progress and stay in touch with their coach.
Currently, we are experiencing strong financial growth (and making history) - we landed €52M, the biggest A Series funding in Denmark ever. Using that money to expand and grow our team, we are establishing several new product teams looking for a Software Engineer at Heart.
What is all that Software-engineer-at-heart about you might wonder? You see, we take engineering seriously and want to build the best engineering culture. Therefore, we sat down and created our manifesto Engineers at Heart: https://bit.ly/3xv1Pul
Give us a read and let us know what you think!
At Lenus we put great emphasis on working as a product team depending on each other and caring for the product to be the best. This entails close cooperation between Engineers, Designers, and Product Owners. Together we are responsible for moving the product forward. In this way, every feature we ship benefits from competencies across the entire team.
As a Software Engineer, you will move Lenus’ product efforts forward by either participating in or leading their product development projects. You will be an integral part of analyzing needs, sketching out solutions, and coding and implementing them as well. We'll empower you as the individual you are and you get to adopt best practices in software engineering design, testing, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
Furthermore, we envision that you will join and lead discussions around different platform initiatives and occasionally take charge of troubleshooting and maintaining high quality and low bug count in our core products.
We use well-established technologies e.g., Express on Node and PostgreSQL and we are keen on trying out new things to challenge how we do things today.
Technologies - Node (Typescript), PostgreSQL, GraphQL, React & React-Native
Frameworks - Apollo, React, Styled components, Jest, Expo, Material UI
Services - Github, CircleCI, Heroku, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud
Besides being an Engineer at Heart (https://bit.ly/3xv1Pul), you have:
2+ years of experience in professional software development.
At least 1 year of experience using popular components of the JavaScript ecosystem (Typescript, React.js and Node.js).
Professional experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL is a plus
The ability to think critically about software testability.
Ideally worked collaboratively on a mid-large scale software product: Giving and receiving constructive feedback.
A playground for you to grow, learn and develop as an Engineer:
Develop yourself in the direction you prefer. In a growing team, there will be a demand for both a high degree of specialization as well as a broader perspective of a generalist.
Besides owning your Product team's product area, you'll get the possibility to work on other exciting projects in a cross-functional setting though e.g. "strategic missions".
Dive into geeky get-togethers such as Meetups, Workcation, Hackafun (Lenus' version of Hackathon), monthly Product Events and Front-end and Back-end Clubs where we experiment and play with shiny new things.
A flat-structured hierarchy: Fist-bumping the CTO and CIO daily.
A Tailored career path suiting your ambitions: Bi-weekly meetings with your direct lead and monthly skip levels with your Engineering Manager.
A competitive salary (of course!)
Flexible work environment: We do not believe in a working policy that specifies defined remote working days. We do, however, believe in a high degree of trust, autonomy, and flexibility. Thus we believe in showing up for each other - literally - to create an environment of development, enthusiasm, growth, and social connection.
A modern & freshly renovated office: We are moving into our forever home in Carlsberg Byen early 2022! Right now, we are located in a luxurious workspace near DR Byen.
Mental health support: We care about your wellbeing. We take stress seriously and support you in times with any mental imbalance by an early and consistent commitment to work-life balance, as well as regular check-ins during 1-1's.
Marvelous cantine: Restaurant quality food with an eat-as-much-as-you-want-option.
Peckish after lunch? We got your back with soft drinks, treats, fruit, veg, and a selection of coffee and tea.
