We are looking for an additional Python developer to join us at our Copenhagen office (partly remote work is possible).

At Optimum Voyage we develop and provide decision support tools and services for commercial ocean crossing ships.

Our core service is to provide route optimization to assist ship operators reduce the cost, fuel consumption and GHG emissions of their voyages. Our operational team is providing the service using our internally developed optimization toolbox.

As part of our development team, you will be working on maintaining and expanding the optimization toolbox as well as new products. As our business grows, we are developing additional services for our portfolio based on our customers’ needs.

What we expect of you:

• You have professional experience and enjoy working with development and python.

• You enjoy breaking challenges down to workable bits.

• You are good with numbers.

Experiences we will evaluate positively, but are not a requirement:

• Domain experience within logistics or the maritime industry.

• Machine Learning experience.

• Background in mathematics and well adverse in optimizations.

• Background in computer science and/or software development.

• Background in web development (we have a small web development team that our python developers are working closely together with).

• Background in a relevant engineering field.

• Experience working with cloud computing (We are using Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud).

Python specific experiences we will evaluate positively:

• Experience with Numpy, Pandas, SQLAlchemy.

• Experience working with geoscience.

• Building efficient code, we are working with some heavy optimization problems.
