Over the past 7 years, we’ve mainly been operating in the UK, Germany, Norway, and Denmark. Now, with hundreds of thousands of parents using Famly every day, we’re expanding our efforts to other markets as one of the only truly global players in our space. 

We’re an international team consisting of highly skilled individuals passionate about what we do. Famly’s one of the fastest growing scaleups in town, but we’re still a very tight knit community with lots of social activities and outings, never wasting a chance to celebrate our successes.

What we’re looking for

Our users love our product, and in every market we enter, we find the sub-par usability of existing solutions has gone unchallenged for years. It’s a great landscape in which to bring a product that’s actually fit for 2021. We now have a team of three UX/UI designers that work closely together on bringing the best experience to our users, but even though we have a rudimentary style guide and component library in place, we’re struggling to create a consistent experience across all of our design work. Designers are forced to reinvent the wheel far too often and it affects the overall experience.

That’s where you come in!

We’re looking for a talented Senior UI Designer to create, maintain, and evolve a truly great design system. You’ll be joining our product team and reporting to the VP of Product, with your primary focus being on formalising and evolving our design system. We see you working closely with our design team to get an understanding of the current issues and inconsistencies that we’re facing, but you’ll also be working with a dedicated frontend developer to make your vision a reality in the code base.

Your responsibilities

• You’ll be responsible for developing our design system. This means crafting a beautiful, functional and easy to use system that streamlines the look and feel of the Famly product. 

• You’ll collaborate with a dedicated frontend developer in charge of implementing the design system into the code base.

• You’ll provide feedback on designs made by other designers.

• You’ll ensure our brand adherence and visual identity across the platform.

Job requirements

• You have significant experience creating highly usable, intuitive, and aesthetically-pleasing user interfaces.

• You have a proven track record of creating and evolving a design system.

• You can clearly communicate the reasoning behind your design choices.

• You’re good at receiving and providing feedback, always able to take a step back to try and see an issue from a different perspective.

• You’re well-organised by nature
