Role and Responsibilities

With an MVP ready to launch this autumn, ARTXP is looking for an A-Player CTO who is ready for a hands-on role with flexibility to adapt to the needs of an expanding startup. 

ARTXP’s CTO will be an expert in their field with a drive and passion to develop an exceptional digital product and is able to contribute to the expansion and growth of ARTXP. 

The CTO joining will be the second full-time member of ARTXP’s team, along with the Founder /CEO. With funding already secured, the team is likely to grow by the end of 2021.

Your primary tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Front-end and back-end web development

• Designing and developing APIs

• Developing front-end website architecture

• Designing user interactions on web pages

• Developing back-end website applications

• Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones

• Building upon ARTXP’s existing MVP

• Adding new features from our list of pending features 

• Maintaining, enhancing, and refining existing systems and features 

• Gaining real-time user feedback and timely implementation of relevant feedback

• Dealing with any deployment issues including re-coding of bug fixes

• Maintaining comprehensive documentation for new and existing systems and procedures

• Optimizing performance and scalability as necessary to meet the business goals

• Planning the next product version and tech updates

• Handling tech tasks concerning first product iteration

• Responsible for technologies that grow the business and maintain our competitive advantage 

• Staying up to date with tech trends to ensure we remain competitive, efficient, and scalable

• Taking on other assignments and responsibilities as necessary

As the Full Stack Developer, you have experience in the following technologies:

• Laravel (back-end framework) - laravel.com

• Laravel Nova (Admin system) - nova.laravel.com

• Vue (front-end framework) - vuejs.org

• Laravel Forge (server management) - forge.laravel.com

• Digital Ocean Droplets (server droplet provider) - digitalocean.com 

Our tech stack is based on the above, however we are not limited to these technologies as we scale, and the joining CTO will have the freedom to work with their preferred technologies benefiting the growth and expansion of ARTXP.

Requirements



• You have strong product development and web development experience (minimum 5 years)

• You have a computer science background, or have acquired good knowledge on software engineering principles, design patterns, basic algorithms, etc.

• You are highly skilled in both front-end and back-end development

• You have considerable experience and a portfolio of work on websites and applications you have developed, for either the back-end, front-end, or the full-stack

• You have deep familiarity with different programming languages and their major uses 

• You have an excellent technological insight and ability to recognize when a new programming language, tool, or development methodology is worth exploring

• You are able to present your ideas, technical vision, and designs to other team members and stakeholders

• You excel in creating digital experiences and interfaces using the latest design software
