BYGAARD is an organic urban farm in Copenhagen, producing a variety of specialty mushrooms and greens. We are selling directly to consumers   and to the best restaurants of the city . We are aiming to strengthen the relationship between the food people eat and the place where it is produced, by moving the food production as close to the consumer as possible and by producing organic products of highest quality.

We are looking for someone to become an integral part of our production team, with a passion for growing mushrooms and greens. You will be responsible for the maintenance of our mushroom production containers and an integral part of production planning, harvest ,packing as well  as distribution. The production works in close contact with the sales team.

Our production site is currently under development and upscaling, which is why we are looking for someone who is willing to take on new responsibilities as the team grows, can help us continuously to improve processes, and can play an active part in showcasing how urban farming can generate profit, good jobs, improve the local food culture while reducing the planetary impact from our diets 

Your responsibilities: 

• Prepare, maintain, harvest and package mushrooms, while ensuring the production of high quality produce with minimal food waste

• KPI data collection and documentation of production records 

• Maintenance of production rooms and technical equipment 

• Packing and preparing deliveries for B2B and B2C customers 

• Interact with customers and clients during visits on the farm, events and farmers markets

• Working with and potentially training other members of the production team 

Qualifications

• You have an affinity for practical work and like to spend your time with hands on tasks

• Have the ability to understand a given production task and plan how to solve it

• You are a self-starter with initiative and self-motivation; we are a small, busy team so this is vital

• You are proactive, able to identify issues and opportunities and act quickly 

• Interest in and willingness to learn about climate control devices, technical equipment and machines

• Have a driver's license and feel comfortable with delivery routes with 30+ stops in Copenhagen on a day

• You have an interest in good food and climate
