Monta is the future of EV charging. We are on a purpose driven mission to become the all-in-one solution for EV charging and thrill EV users everywhere thereby driving EV adoption and green transformation. 


About the position

We are on a super ambitious VC-backed international growth journey and we are now looking for a VP sales to join us. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a kick ass team and play a key role in a rocket ship that is set to take off and disrupt an industry value chain.


About you

A few of your key responsibilities

  • Develop, define and execute Monta´s overall sales strategy

  • Ensure sales and customer satisfaction targets and other KPIs for commercial operations teams are met

  • Drive our international expansion and go-to-market strategy for new markets in close cooperation with our CEO, COO and Growth and hands on deliver sales in these markets

  • Recruit, train, mentor, build and lead a world-class international team of expansion strategists and sales executives

  • Implement a performance monitoring process for all sales channels and markets

  • Report key performance indicators and findings to the leadership team and Board

  • Define annual sales budget alongside CEO/COO

  • Develop existing customer relationships and engagements to encourage upselling, cross-selling and referrals 

  • Closely coordinate with growth and marketing to refine customer acquisition and branding strategy 

  • Monitor market trends and customer feedback in different markets to support product development 

What you will need to bring to the role

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of sales leadership, with both customer acquisition, consultative sales and account management expertise

  • Demonstrated experience successfully building, scaling and leading an international and integrated sales team including both Customer Success and Sales & Account Management

  • Proven ability to execute and control B2B/B2B2C software sales processes to SMEs/larger account customer base 

  • Strong experience from leading international market expansion

  • Experienced start-up/scale up leader in early-stage and lean, fast-paced environments with proven ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty

  • In-depth experience in setting quantitative and qualitative KPIs, and managing individual and team performance 

  • Excellent analytical skills and performance-oriented track record 

  • High empathy leader who cares and invests in the team and with proven ability to build, grow and manage highly performing teams

  • Strong analytical skills & data-driven mindset to evaluate performance and make adequate operational decisions - you are always on top of commercial KPIs

  • Nonpolitical, you embrace an open and honest communication style, challenge ideas and demonstrate a collaborative working style

  • Fluency in English is a must

  • Massive appetite for making Monta a global success over the next 3-5 years. You’re highly motivated by the journey and are dedicated to making the investment required, which will often include around-the-clock availability and a busy travel schedule

Founded in 2020, we were born out of frustration with the EV market. How is it possible to drive around in an electric car packed with cutting-edge technology, while the charging experience is limited to practically a start and stop function? This question – along with many others – kept roaming around in our digitally-driven minds and slowly a concept started to take the form: Charging your EV should be at the same – if not higher – level as driving your electricity-fueled automobile. This was the beginning of Monta! After assembling a team of senior profiles, Monta landed a million investment from the Danish state’s investment fund, the Innovation fund and a few private investors on a promise to change the entire market with tech.
