The Syrup Company is building a beverage company of the future where flavour, and environmental challenges are guiding every aspect of our decision making from ingredient sourcing, product development, production, distribution, use of our products, and upscaling of our waste.
We work with over 130 well known Copenhagen restaurants, bars, cafes, and venues along with listing our Anaperitivo on the shelves of all Irma grocery stores.
We are currently looking to expand our team with a production assistant. Prior experience in the same role is not mandatory, but basic knowledge of food production is a must, and a background in the food and beverages industry is a plus. If you are motivated, eager to constantly learn and share our fascination for taste, then this is the right role for you.
THE ROLE
Working closely with the production manager, your core role will be to assist with the production of our recipes:
You will be processing ingredients, testing liquids, updating control records, and packaging and labelling our products.
The job also includes helping with cleaning and maintaining our equipment and keep the production space HACCP compliant.
You will have an active day with somewhat flexible days (after agreement) between Mon-Friday and hours between 8 am and 8 pm
The role will be part time and based out of our production space in Hvidovre, two minutes away from the s-train station.
Whilst this is initially an assistant position, we are looking for someone with the skills, knowledge and work ethic to grow and in the production team. The list of responsibilities can grow quickly depending on your ambition. We have big plans and resources to expand, and the job is a catalyst to a more senior position as our company and staff grow.
REQUIREMENTS & ATTRIBUTES
It is essential that you have some experience producing or handling food or beverages commercially, either as a bartender, chef, kitchen assistant or similar. Ideally you will be an expert in both the technical side of food production as well as commercial production methods. Any relevant academic qualifications would be a plus.
You are passionate about food and drinks, are a pro-active problem solver, and you are the type of person that powers through and finds a way to get things done. A positive attitude, organisation, and energy are key attributes.
It is vital that you can fit into the company culture. You are positive, have a sense of humour and enjoy a flat hierarchy structure where your input is as valuable as everybody else. If this is you, we are looking forward to hear from you!
Please show your interest before November 6th.
