UX & UI design

• UI craftsmanship: professional graphic design and storytelling skills. Please share your portfolio.

• Courage to untangle abstract challenges and ask questions

• Understanding of interaction and UX design principles, i.e usability heuristics

• Ability to pick optimal research, facilitation, co-design and testing tools and methods

• Mastery with UI design tools. Our product team uses Miro and Figma.

• Experience of building and maintaining consistency via shared design libraries

• Comfortable with platform guidelines and accessibility standards (web, iOS, Android)

• Familiarity with front-end development. We use React, Redux, React Native, TypeScript and SCSS to name a few.

Project ownership

• Ability to do hands-on UX/UI design work and act as a design lead

• Experience of working in an Agile team with continuous release cadence

• Competence to prioritise and split ideas into scenarios, flows and user stories

• Calm endeavour that helps you to shepherd design from strategy to validation

 Service design thinking

• Know-how to communicate design logic and decisions to different stakeholders

• Ability to co-create implementable digital service concepts, from UX perspective, that balance between client needs, business opportunities and technical requirements

Your future role?

Joining a growing startup team means working on all “fidelity levels”. 

You will be able to organise your work and work on and lead projects from a UX perspective. Your tasks will range from research, concepts, co-creating with the team and clients, to hands-on UX/UI design, such as defining user flows, prototyping, testing and improving UI. Together with the Head of the Design, CPO and engineers you will also plan for scale, i.e. setup UI templates, define UX guidelines and contribute to shared libraries.

This position is best suited for a confident designer who wants to contribute in scaling a company, take ownership and see the impact of design decisions immediately.

Your future team

As a senior UX/UI designer, you will closely collaborate with the Head of Design, CPO and an engineering team of 5. Selma’s German-speaking experts will help you connect with our contributors and clients, and figure out the market needs.
