The internship will preferably start at the beginning of September and last three to six months, depending on your study and preferences. 

What is the digital future for cyclists? 

The e-bike market is currently exploding worldwide. This is due to a lot of reasons, like sustainability, health, better infrastructure, and because e-bikes are a very efficient way of transportation on distances between 2 and 20 kilometers. 

PentaLock is right now entering the market with innovative award-winning bicycle lock targeted e-bikes. Although we target bike manufacturers, we provide valuable services for the end customer. We would like to expand our services to the cyclist, but we need you to help us decide where to focus our efforts. 

Should we focus even more on security? Should we combine the lock with new types of bike insurance? Should we use the electronics in the lock to provide users with data on their usage of the bike? We need you, to understand the problems worth solving before we provide new solutions. 

Tasks will include: 

• User research, desk research, and persona creation of e-bike buyers 

• Identify e-bike users most important tasks and goals using value proposition canvas and empathize mapping 

• Run an ideation process involving e-bike users and the PentaLock team 

• Make concrete mockups of the best ideas 

• Get user feedback on your mockup through e.g., guerilla testing or user testing 

Ideal profile: 

• You are curious, you love to understand and solve complex problems. 

• You have a passion for Innovation, User research, Service design, and Design Thinking. 

• You have either started on your Master's degree or at the final of your Bachelor. 

• You are ambitious and self-motivated in your work with the ability to work independently and take ownership of the tasks. 

• A team player, who likes to share ideas and get input from others. 

You will: 

• Get desk space in either Copenhagen (Futurebox, DTU Science Park in Kgs. Lyngby) or at our Head Quarter in Aalborg.  

• Plan your tasks and work together with our Director of Business Development, Nisse Krenchel, who has a past of leading Innovation and Service Design within the insurance industry. 

• Bring your own laptop – but get the necessary licenses from PentaLock

We have just closed our second funding round of +7M DKK, and added a strong investor base from the Danish Start-up scene, to our team and board of directors. 

We have offices in Aalborg and desk spaces in Copenhagen. It will be possible to work from the offices or remotely from home.
