Tana Copenhagen is a Danish consultancy firm specializing in international development, mainly within the areas of governance, aid delivery in fragile states, and peace and stabilization. Within these areas we carry out research, policy analysis, evaluations, formulations and capacity development. Tana Copenhagen has a global outlook, but with a special focus on Africa and the Middle East. We work in fragile states and conflict-affected areas as well as stable development contexts. Our clients are leading development agencies, including Danida, Sida, DFID, EU, World Bank, UN, and non-governmental organizations, think tanks, private foundations and companies.
The internship
We are looking to engage an intern to assist with various assignments related to especially Tana’s core development assignments. The intern will be working closely with Tana’s Business Development Manager on expanding the portfolio of assignments. Thus, the intern should be passionate about international development and humanitarian work, be able to work autonomously, and have strong research and writing skills. The intern should have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a postgraduate program, preferably within development or equivalent.
It is essential for Tana that the future intern is able to receive credit from the internship as a part of the intern’s degree. The full-time internship is expected to begin 1st of August 2021 and continue for 6 months, depending on the prospect of receiving credits from your university. Danish is NOT a requirement, however the ability to understand Danish will be an advantage.
The Tasks
The tasks will focus on, but are not limited to:
• Assisting in preparing various EOIs and tenders;
• Assisting in preparing various proposals;
• Assisting in further development of Tana’s strategy and services;
• Performing various research assignments as well as assisting in report writing;
• Assisting in research for Tana’s evaluations of fragile and conflict affected areas;
• Updating and maintaining Tana’s databases;
• Ad hoc duties.
