About us

SubReader is an Assistive Technology start-up company, whose mission is to include people with dyslexia and others with reading difficulties, to enjoy foreign-language movies. Through our app, we enable dyslexics to get subtitles read aloud on their favorite movies and TV-shows. The app turns text into speech using the newest text-to-speech technology. We are growing fast thanks to our integrations with Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO, Viaplay, C More, and others as well as our presence in over 100 cinemas in Denmark and Sweden. We also offer our solution for educational purposes. Our aim is to become the de-facto standard for individual accessibility.

Your responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will get exposure and get involved in different things. Also, you will support management with ad hoc assignments. Your specific tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on your role, but tasks and responsibilities could include:

  • Work with our sale team across the Nordics to identify customers, support customers, and assist our sales team in preparing for meetings 

  • Help us and the team with data quality assurance, prepare data training set for our various AI and machine learning activities, and other relevant to ensure a high data quality

  • Work with recruitment to find new candidates across development, sales, etc.

  • Help and support with improving our platform (getting feedback from customers, organizing feedback loops, etc).

  • Support and enhance our marketing efforts to build awareness around SubReader

  • Various commercial aspects

  • Ad-hoc and admin tasks

You will be mentored by the team and management.


What we expect from you

We are looking for Business Analysts that are curious to learn and ready for challenges. In addition, we would expect you to be proactive and possess a strong work ethic and strive to deliver high quality in whatever you do. Furthermore, we are looking for people being passionate and with drive. Lastly, we are looking for the following:

  • Finished high school/college with good results

  • Experience from working part-time or from extracurricular activities

  • A person able to work physically out of our office in Copenhagen

  • Have flair for quality and attention to detail

SubReader has built an app that reads subtitles aloud for dyslexics, across platforms: In the cinema, on streaming services as Netflix, HBO and Viaplay and in the school. Founded in 2016 we launched the first cinema integrations in 2017, now servicing 90+ cinemas.
