PR Internship at Momio

A third of the world’s internet users are children and adolescents under 18 years of age, but the majority of services they use are not made for them. At Momio we focus on creating free, playful and safe environments that educate kids in online behaviour. We apply a Nordic approach to digital responsibility and AI by focusing on data minimization and privacy by design and default. 

Our goal is to give kids a great first social media experience by surrounding them with good friends in a playful and safe environment. We already have 700.000 active users every month in 10+ countries and we are ready to grow!

We are looking for a public relations (PR) intern to work closely with our commercial and safety teams. Your main tasks are to pitch stories to media outlets, build relationships with the media as well as constantly look for ways to boost our corporate image. In addition, you will support our social media managers with engaging content. 

Your responsibilities: 

• Pitching stories to media outlets

• Researching topics related to Momio and conducting interviews

• Creating engaging content for social media, newsletters and the like 

• Building relationships with the media

• Suggesting creative ways to improve the company’s public image

• Monitoring of media coverage on media releases 

• Updating media lists

• Ad hoc administrative work to support the general development of Momio

We dream about someone with:

• Enrollment in Bachelor or Master degree in public relations, communication, or journalism

• Excellent understanding of various social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram 

• Efficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

• Good research and analytical skills

• Knowledge of copywriting and editing 

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 

• Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Dutch or German
