As our new R&D Scientist, you will work within assay development on our microfluidics platform, leveraging your experience in nanotechnology, polymer science, and analytical instrumentation. This is a hands-on position that includes assay development and validation, integrating the assay into chips, and benchmarking our system against standard methods.
You will join our growing, dynamic and interdisciplinary Product team of Scientists and Engineers to drive new assays through to commercialisation.
Design, execute and validate chemosensors on laboratory analytical instruments and our proprietary instrument
Formulate and characterize liposomes, hydrogels, resins, and membranes for assay development.
Scientific research, documentation for publications, application notes, and preparation of SOPs, etc.
Communicate and present scientific progress to peers, management, and scientific stakeholders
You must hold have a scientific academic degree, i.e PhD or Master's degree within the field of nanotechnology, nanoscience, molecular biology, polymer chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related.
It is crucial that you have gained knowledge and hands-on experience in optical assay development in an academic or industrial setting. This is a lab-based, hands-on position.
Experience in the development of colorimetric assays, lateral flow assays, multiplex bead-based assays, etc. Both in terms of assay development in laboratory set up and data analysis.
Proficient in analytical instrumentation like UV spectroscopy and fluorometry
Project management experience is necessary
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Prior experience with rapid diagnostic tests for quantitative analysis, using gold nanoparticles, aptamers, antibodies, DNA probes
Ability to analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical models (e.g. Design of Experiments, mixed model analysis), as well as proficient with method validation studies.
Worked with biomaterials and polymers for synthesis and characterization
As a person, you are structured in working effectively to manage priorities and maintain timelines for multiple activities. You work well independently and also a team player with the motivation to work within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary and dynamic environment. You are dedicated with a result-oriented attitude. You should be residing in Denmark and have the permit to work.
