Python/Django Web Developer for whitelabel app in growth phase

Salary Competitive

Pubfront is a leading provider of audio tools, empowering content owners to sell audio digitally and reaching over 250.000 end-users a month. Launched in 2010 in Copenhagen, the company has a decade of experience building audio solutions for global first movers such as Schibsted, JP/Politiken and VB Bok.

Building on this accumulated expertise, the team has recently launched a new SaaS whitelabel solution: Audiorista. Our new platform has so far allowed 15+ clients to launch their own audio-app in days, not weeks or months. As the product scales up, so does our need for talented developers, which is why we're now looking for a Python/Django Web Developer.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with our Chief Technology Officer

  • Extending the functionality of the CMS that our clients use to manage their content

  • Maintaining and enhancing the REST API that powers our mobile apps

  • Adding integrations with new content sources, authentication- and payment-providers as required by our clients

  • Developing new SaaS features to make our clients' experience as automated as possible

  • Keeping our web apps performant and reliable

  • Working on the codebase with an eye for modularity and a nose for code smell, ensuring our continued agility

Hard requirements

  • Great Django/Python skills (and ready to become an expert)

  • Intermediate frontend skills (React, CSS, Bootstrap or similar)

  • Experience working with and building REST APIs (we use Django REST Framework)

  • Good spoken and written English

Soft requirements

  • Strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail

  • Autonomous, but willing to ask questions if requirements are unclear - getting it done right is more important than getting it done fast

  • Creative thinking - push back if you feel like another approach would be better

  • Good communicator and adept at working as part of a team

Bonus Skills

  • Kubernetes/Docker

  • Firebase/Cloud Functions

  • CI/CD

  • Familiarity with iOS/Android XCode/Android Studio - you won't be asked to code mobile apps, but may be involved in automating their release

Want more? As the Audiorista platform matures and gains more traction, we will also be expanding the dev team. This will be an excellent chance for you to take on more responsibility for our platform's overall development and grow in this role.

Please note that while we are comfortable with occasional/partial remote work, candidates should still be able to work from our Copenhagen office most of the time, especially during the onboarding-phase.
