Our tech team is growing like crazy these days and we are on the lookout for some awesome colleagues who want to come build great things together. Is that you? Okay, maybe a bit early to answer but let's dig deeper into what we are looking for and Hobbii to see if there could be a match...

We don't expect you to know everything from day one but instead we're looking for ambitious people who want to develop, teach and grow together. Our Tech team is at the heart of our companies and we are a team of driven entrepreneurs building the next generation of headless commerce - serving around a million orders a year, delivered all over the world. Besides Hobbii, you will be part of an ambitious group of 3 fast-growing ecommerce companies.

We are not the typical task-oriented team; instead, we want to brainstorm together on how we can do things differently and more efficiently. Right now we are at a stage where we are focusing on automating everything and making sure things run efficiently. Besides that, we like to share ideas around interesting books or other resources to dig deeper into and have a lot of fun team events (in HQ or remote!).  

Oh, and we are moving into a brand new office in Copenhagen city center this Summer! We are building it up completely from scratch with the opportunity to make it uniquely ours 🤗

Who are we? 

Hobbii is an eCommerce scaleup selling yarn, knitting and crochet accessories to dedicated yarn lovers in 35+ countries. We’re a Danish company with an international outlook and we’ve recently launched a number of physical stores and aim to hit 50 stores within 3 years to supplement our online sales...But don't worry, we don't expect you to be an expert knitter yourself  -  - but if you wish, we'll teach you 😉

We recently won the 2020 Gazelle award for the fastest growing company in Denmark, which is a proof of all the amazing and ambitious people we have at Hobbii. We are expanding with rocket speed and need some more talented people to help us grow even further. So generally, building something from scratch should excite you rather than terrify you... But don't worry, you won't be doing this alone; in the past year, we welcomed more than 190 people to our team from various backgrounds such as Bonnier, Pleo, GoMore and Google. We have plenty of ideas of how we should grow in the future and we are looking for more talented people to help us with this. 

You get excited by: 

- Writing high quality code that you are proud of 

- Improving existing solutions and optimizing our workflows 

- Building decoupled applications that follow best practices 

The nitty-gritty skills needed: 

- Multi year experience building websites and/or applications 

- Experience in modern frameworks like Laravel or Symfony etc. 

- Version control (we’re using Git and we hope you are too) 

- Experience with automated testing and Continuous Integration  

- Experience designing and developing Restful APIs 

We’ll be thrilled if you; 

- Have worked with agile development 

- Think that working smarter is better than working harder
