Blok is a modern real estate agency for residential properties. Our goal at Blok is to provide transparent and cost-efficient service. At the core, we’re a technology company, and we recognize that winning in this market requires us to augment the best real estate agents with the best technology. We are currently operating in Finland and Sweden.
We're looking for a full stack developer to join our product development team. We are a small and fast moving team of 5 developers, and we've built a highly automated platform to take the whole process of selling an apartment online.
Currently, we are putting our biggest efforts on our service for buyers, a new kind of marketplace where people are able to look for apartments that are not even on sale and we'll find them. Our stack consists of Python (Django framework) and our databases speak SQL. For our front-end applications, we use Javascript (React/Vue).
Ideally you have
2+ years prior experience in software engineering
Experience of: Python or equivalent language, SQL databases, backend framework such as Django, Javascript frontend framework
Excellent co-operation skills. We work as a team
Can-do attitude and self-directed mentality
Proficiency in English, Finnish and Swedish skills are a big plus

First Interview: Applicants who fill the requirements are invited for an interview. The theme of the first interview is to get to know the applicant in-person and get a clearer understanding of their background and experience.
Task: Applicants who pass the first interview will receive a take-home programming task to evaluate their skills and approach to a set of problems.
Second interview: After reviewing the result of the task we invite select applicants to the second interview. The scope of the second interview is broader and its aim is to determine how the applicant would fit into the company culture and team. This interview typically includes other people from the engineering team and other departments outside engineering.
Offer: Applicants who pass all four stages receive a job offer.
