Hey, we're Shield 👋 We have growing pains and we are looking to find an enthusiastic, positive and energetic Email Marketing (Automation) specialist. The position begins as a 3 month part-time unpaid internship with the possibility of transitioning into a paid position (several interns have done so, some are now full-time). We're a Copenhagen based tech startup with a small, tight-knit multinational team with a diverse mix of backgrounds from MBAs to product people to creatives. We empower people to build their personal brands to the benefit of themselves and the companies they work for. Our commercial dashboard solution is used by customers in +50 countries with main markets in the US and UK.

Our customers include some of the fastest growing tech companies in the world as well as large well known brands across industries such as management consulting, tech and telecom.

Who are you?

You live in or around Copenhagen, you're empathetic, have a flair for talking to people, and you are interested in tech. You are a self-starter meaning you will find or create solutions to the problems and challenges we encounter.

You have a knack for crafting amazing copy. You're a writer by heart and you love written communication. You have experience with email automation, drip campaigns and the likes of that. Perhaps using Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or similar.

A normal work day for you at Shield could include:

• Understanding our market, customers and users

• Identify opportunities for email marketing campaigns

• Conceptualize and outline campaigns

• Design compelling email automation flows to activate and educate our customers and users

• Craft the emails, including attention-grabbing copy and visuals (we have a designer)

• Launch, test, observe & improve the email flows

• Drive action through timely content, copy and CTAs

• Ad hoc tasks (not coffee brewing)

You will join our growth team and report directly to our head of marketing on a daily basis.

The position begins as an unpaid internship for 3 months and is set as 16 hours per week spread across two full working days (9-16). For the right candidate, we can move on to a part-time, paid student position and onwards from there.

We are flexible around exam periods and do allow for remote work when/if this is more convenient at times (like now, during COVID).

You will be joining the team at our Copenhagen office, located centrally at Nørrebro close to the lakes and public transportation (literally right outside the door). We recommend biking, though.

Your qualifications

You likely study at one of the Universities in or around Copenhagen, but it's not a requirement. We believe in talent more than diplomas. You are fluent in written and spoken English.

Need-to-have:

• You take initiative and is not afraid of failing (and learning from mistakes)

• You possess tenacity and determination

• You are detail-oriented and structured

• You have a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Other languages is a plus but not necessary.
