I am the founder of Degeza, and I have just started my startup journey. Degeza is in the concept development stage and I aim to secure seed funding in the last quarter of 2021 – note that we are bootstrapping until then. Please apply to this position only if you:

Unique CCO & co-founder opportunity:
Are you passionate about finding creative ways to sell cutting edge technology to complex corporate and government customers? Do you want to lead the sales effort and commercial strategy in an early stage hi-tech startup? It is absolutely critical that we can validate whether or not the big institutional customers are willing to use and pay for our solution. I am looking for a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to make this validation happen and get a head start on the complex sales cycles.
For a long time the satellite domain has been regarded as being relatively safe, stable and reliant. With the introduction of anti-satellite weapons and an increasing number of space debrie, this reality is shifting.
In response to this Degeza is developing software for High Altitude Drones with the aim to match the functionality and dataflows of selected satellites. If a military customer, experience a temporary or permanent breakdown of a satellite, the drone can then replace the dataflows of the satellite and keep the customer’s mission critical systems online.
The bundling of the exact product is not decided yet. You will play a big role in determining this together with me and our CTO.
About Degeza:
I aim to onboard the full team of co-founders by the 1st of April this year. The product is still in the early part of the concept development stage, and the next step is to get ready to engage with potential customers and assess their interest in using and paying for the product. I am yet to talk with actual customers, but I have seen military customers making substantial million dollar investments in improved resilience and situational awareness products for the satellite domain.
Based on the feedback from the customers, we will have a solid foundation for securing initial seed funding during the summer/autumn of 2021 – which we can use to start actual development in the 4th quarter of 2021.
About the role:
At first, the primary task will be to get ready to talk with potential customers. Together with me and our CTO you will help mature and finish the concept idea and construct sales and pitch material.
You will lead and establish contact to potential customers and suppliers (I already have some customer and supplier leads).
A big part of the job is to engage and meet with the potential customers and suppliers
You will be the end-to-end lead of the sales cycle – from introduction to negotiation of contracts
You will lead and be overall responsible for the commercial strategy
You will design a strategy to test our customer value proposition
You will analyze customer feedback and align product-market fit
Who you are:
It is a essential that you have a solid understanding of how to manage complex sales processes with multiple stakeholders in large corporations and/or governments.
It is a big plus if you have experience in selling to senior stakeholders (C-suite and decision makers) in complex organisations.
You are ambitious and it is natural for you to kick in the door and make contact to customers
You are able to understand and listen to complex customer needs and present solutions to meet their needs and requirements.
It is a big plus if you have direct experience with sales to the defense and space industry
The sales cycles in our industry can be time consuming and bureaucratic. You should be comfortable with this to a certain a degree. However, it is a big plus if you can challenge the processes, and find ways to crack through the bureaucracy.
