As a Senior Experience Designer (UX) at Hello Great Works (part of the North Alliance) you will be part of our ambitious UX and design team while working very closely with producers and developers on client projects. You will be building outstanding apps and websites for a big variety of clients within areas such as health, logistics, retail, banking and travelling.
For us, great work starts with a humble and curious approach to what we design: Seeking knowledge and asking questions is fundamental to truly understand the right problem to solve. We are looking for a Senior Experience Designer who believes in in-depth understanding of the humans we design for and will always have the human insight at heart when putting new products into the world.
In a Senior Experience Designer we look for someone who is confident in not just building great concepts and solving complex UX issues, but also someone who can gather a cross-functional team and securely lead the way towards the client's goal.
What we expect of you
At least 5 years’ experience solving complex UX problems.
Strong team player—the ability to work closely with visual designers, developers and clients as well as the confidence and skill to communicate your ideas clearly.
A great attitude and a lack of ego. It's about how we solve problems the best way, not about subjective opinions.
Amazing presentation skills - we work very closely with our clients and you'll be presenting your work to them all the time.
Strong conceptualisation skills and ability to design based on human insights
Strong ownership of the projects you are involved in, and not just the UX part - but the product in its entirety.
Having a professional opinion about digital products and services and not being afraid to voice it.
Constantly having an outside-in perspective on the product but at the same time design for business impact.
Responsibilities and work
Self-manage your UX deliverables throughout the project.
Designing the research on your projects and deciding which methodologies and activities would fit the specific projects.
Conducting and analysing research so you can design based on core insights about human beings and needs.
Developing convincing concepts that will engage and gather the entire team.
Facilitating workshops with confidence.
Sketching, wireframing and prototyping in Sketch or Figma, ProtoPie and InVision.
Deciding testing methodology, conducting user tests and interpreting the results.
Ensuring the visual design and final product fits the experience you've envisioned.
Presenting work, either in Keynote or directly in your design file - either way, always having solid argumentation beyond subjective opinions.
Identify and support on business opportunities in collaboration with Client Management in creating and participating in project pitches and other business related activities, pro-actively share opportunity/problem spaces to pursue.
