We're looking for a Dutch-speaking talent to join us in launching and growing our business in the Netherlands! Ideally, you have 2-3 years of experience with commercial Customer Success or sales and a burning desire to learn and grow.
Proper is more than efficient property management. Proper is a seal of quality, safety and reliability. Our service is a lean and automated process for landlords and tenants – providing transparency and trust in the rental market. We want the renting experience to be favorable. The process of renting out properties should be simple and tenants should feel at home. We scaled more than 30% MOM for 18 months and received our Seed round early 2020. Now we’re preparing for our Series A with the aim of reaching multiple countries and +100K tenancies.
As Propers market launcher in the Netherlands, you will be “our lead in the trenches”, and fight the good fight of helping the Dutch people in getting a better renting experience. Your overall mission is to build up domain knowledge, sell Proper to landlords and handle all dialogue with onboarded landlords and tenants - all with assistance from the rest of the Proper team.
You will be fully responsible for the success and timeliness of building up Proper in the Netherlands. Furthermore, you have to help us build out the Proper expansion playbook further, with the other market launchers, to make future country launches even faster and more successful
Your primary responsibilities and tasks will be:
Sell Proper to inbound leads
Handling incoming customer support from landlords and tenants
Helping in adapting the product to the local market
Proactively maintain your pipeline using our CRM (Hubspot)
Furthermore, you will be in charge of building up local domain knowledge and getting insights from relevant stakeholders, e.g. interest groups, lawyers, accountants etc.
Your biggest challenges will be to figure out how to sell Proper to the landlords, understand how we need to adapt the product to the Dutch market and run the administration.
You have an entrepreneurial mindset and you are eager to take the next steps - launching Proper in a new country is almost like launching your own startup and requires a determination to “hustle” and get things done. You will be reporting directly to the two co-founders of Proper, so see yourself as a one-man SWAT team with a direct line to the commander in chief, i.e an opportunity to jumpstart your career.
We are looking for a colleague with a broad skill-set. As a market launcher, you ought to excel in a broad range of tasks so a generalist mentality and a curious mindset will get you far as you are to sell, support, report and manage all processes. You are the type of person who always finds new boundaries to cross. We have removed the red tape in order to get things done quickly - so if you find a problem, you own the solution.

Speak Dutch fluently, English very well, and preferably also Danish
Are from the Netherlands or have lived there long enough to understand the culture
Are willing to make Propers mission your mission and are ready to put a lot of hard work into making Proper a success
