We are looking for a Design Director to drive the design department which is in charge of gameplay, progression, and UI/UX aspects across our products. The job can be based in Copenhagen or Budapest, or even remote (but need for travel regularly).

What you'll do:

• Define pillars for the vision of the players' user experience on the whole platform (from second-to-second game feel up to long-term retention motivators) in collaboration with production and marketing teams.

• Work with design/UX leads and the Production team to develop the design production process and ensure the velocity of the team and the quality of the delivery.

• Mentor the Design Leads to grow their leadership and design skills and support them in their management duties.

• Help to prioritize the development of our game editor.

 Must-have skills/experience:

• Experience as a Lead Designer, Game Director, or Creative Director on a large number of game genres.

• Has shipped mobile games

• College or university degree in graphic design, art, or equivalent

• 3+ years in Leadership and Mentoring role.

• Ability to think strategically and structure complex ideas.

• Strong expertise in gameplay and metagame design.

• A passion for user-generated content & creators communities.

Other qualities

• A broad versatility and knowledge of art, visual communication, and design principles.

• Strong comprehension of game design and related creative crafts such as animation, audio, etc.

• Great taste and artistic judgment, excellent understanding of visual appeal for different types of audiences.

• Great versatility and comfort working in a broad range of styles and genres.

• Strong creative mind for ideation, innovation, and brand thinking.

• Willingness to push the envelope and create experiences that will be a reference in the industry.

• A positive leader with a strong ability to inspire a team.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other crafts within a production team;

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
