At Knowledge Gate we help companies find answers to their most business critical questions by connecting them to industry experts for micro-consultations. This kind of service has been used by Investment Firms and Management Consultancies on a daily basis for over a decade. Our vision is to take the somewhat opaque ‘Expert Network’ service to the life sciences market, which is one of the most knowledge-intense industries in the world.

After a highly successful first year running a mostly manual MVP, product-market fit is not a question of KGG. However, as we look toward our expansion and furthermore our scaling plans, it is very clear that we need to build a software that will make our day-to-day operations a lot faster and optimized in order for us to focus on the strategy for what comes next.

As none of us are able to build something as sophisticated as we would like our software to be, we look to find the right person to lead our technical development. As we are in the beginning of what will be a journey of a lifetime nothing is set in stone yet, which is why it is of paramount importance to us that the right candidate is an entrepreneurial individual who has thorough technical knowledge combined with a strategic mindset.

About the job

You will be responsible for taking ownership of architecture and development of our software, which will allow us to reach our growth targets. The tasks will include, but not be limited, to:

• Technology choices

• Development roadmap

• General architecture

• Prioritization

• Hands on coding(!)

About you

We imagine that you in order to be able to adequately deliver on the above expectations you should be:

• A seasoned developer with 3-5+ years relevant experience

• Eager to build, test and iterate things yourself (fail often, fail fast)

• Looking to become a part of the very beginning of a start-up

• Developing things with the user in mind

• Self organizing and well structured

• Self educating in the areas which are required to lift the position

• Very curious and constantly want to try new methods and solutions to challenge status quo

• Approach things with strategy in mind
