Batata (www.batata.dk) solution provides a real-time private marketplace platform where farmers can expand local and international sales channels. Deal with overproduction and waste by connecting with potential partners (manufacturing, catering companies) or non-profit organizations. With a cloud-based tech-enabled solution Batata will offer a set of analytical and automation tools (KPI's, detailed sales results, sheet generation, order processing, and generation).

We're looking for a Business/Marketing Development intern who would work on the following tasks:

  • Daily posts to our social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.

  • Come up with social media strategies that effectively engage and bring users to our website

  • Reach out to supply and distribution partners to work with us

  • Answer support emails and chat with our customers

  • Work with journalists to write articles for new features announcements and help build our brand

  • Post on our blog a few times a month, interview our partners, and do podcasts with them

  • Set up email marketing campaigns and send bi-weekly or monthly newsletters to our users and potential users

Qualifications

  • Fluent Danish language

  • Currently enrolled in an educational institution pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Social Media, Marketing, Sales, Business or related major

  • Experience in social media tools, particularly Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain good rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with customers and those outside the department

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion, tact, and interest

  • Capable of identifying and completing tasks independently, and reporting on progress, with a sense of urgency and ownership

Required Education

  • Finalizing a bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, or related degree

  • High school graduate or equivalent

Candidate Background/Preferred Experience

  • Awareness of social media, marketing, and PR activities and tools.

  • Able to think creatively and outside the box. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

  • Strong business acumen and skills

  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Advertising, and SEO
