Copenhagen Industries (CI) is moving into the next phase of our company’s lifecycle, and looking to upgrade our organization with a new leadership team, to propel us into the future. Phase IV is largely focused on taking us from Startup to Scaleup, finalizing our base technology offering (moving from TRL 6 to TRL 9) by maturing the product, as well as building the global operations platform and organization, while preparing our global launch, by securing beta- and post-beta customer base.
We are looking to hire a highly skilled, creative and seasoned product engineer, with a strong background in bringing products to market, to oversee our R&D, manufacturing and product operations and align the company and product vision with our final offerings.
Our new chief product officer will enter the management team, as partner, and oversee our external R&D partners’ activities, bringing to market a high-end, high-quality product, ensuring best possible value for our customers and company.
You will oversee and lead the technology, manufacturing and - with our CEO, creative aspects - of our products, including our flagship product, Violette, and be the natural bridge between engineering, management and customer.
You have a track record of bringing physical products to market, involving numerous engineering disciplines (including electronics, software, mechanical engineering, and flow), either through a startup you have exited, a product agency or in a corporate environment.
Our new CPO will be our Chief Engineer, while maintaining a customer centric product focus, and adhere to a high level of ethical, design and product standards.
CPO Responsibilities:
Work closely with the our CEO and CTO to develop and implement strategies pertaining to market, business operations and growth
Setup and manage internal and external R&D activities
Liaise with our main development partners
Develop, build and maintain R&D pipeline, plan and budgets
Manage proof of concept, prototyping and maturing processes
Product Planning, BOM management and vendor negotiations
Mature the product from TRL 6 to TRL 9 and setup manufacturing process
With COO create a global distribution and fulfillment network
Setup QA parameters and test protocols
Ensure product qualifies said protocols and parameters
Engage and maintain stakeholder relationships pertaining to product
Oversee all prototype to product activities
CPO Requirements:
Advanced engineering degree
Min. 5 years working in an engineering capacity and min. 3 years managerial experience in a product environment
Advanced technological skill set and a demonstrated history with technology.
Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering, manufacturing, production and product management
Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering, firmware development, flow control and design
Customer centric and commercial mindset
Exceptional product management skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication.
Ability to delegate efficiently.
Ability to understand a niche market and particular product requirements in said market and use cases
