LuxC [look-see] is a Danish Lidar company. Our mission is to Bring Lidar to the Masses. We do this through lowering the threshold for our customer to use this cutting-edge technology by helping them design and adapt their systems to include Lidar technology. We use our own propriety software (libLuxC) and hardware from a network of international partners. We are a bit over one years old and are both funded and currently selling our own product.

LuxC is located at FutureBox, the Startup incubator of the DTU Science Park in Denmark. It is required that the candidate has a working permit for Denmark (or EU) and that they are on-site full time. Outsourcing agencies are kindly requested not to react on this JD.

The current LuxC team of 7 people is an international, young and enthusiastic team who love technology. We are now looking to extend our team with an energetic person, who can Champion all software related items. This includes ownership of our automation library (libLuxC), which is mainly written in C++, but also leadership of our embedded software activity.

Our working language is English, however knowledge of one of the core Scandinavian languages is plus.

The suitable candidate should have excellent communications skills and have had experience in managing and leading young teams in high tech environment. As one of “the seniors”, you will be required to also participate in planning, strategy and road mapping for the company.

Necessary technical skills include C, C++, Python on the languages side. ROS, Linux and basic compiler skills on the platform side and JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket on the administration/PM side. Computer vision knowledge is a plus. Being a startup, it is also required that you are stress tolerant, a self-starter and an exceptionally customer centric person.

Time

This is a full-time position and starting date can be ASAP.

Tasks

·        Guide and coach a young team of enthusiastic technophiles

·        Define Strategy, Roadmap and HR-planning for the Software team

·        Coach the young-talents into high-potentials

·        Communicate with Customers, Stakeholders and CEO

·        Practice and Teach good Software development methodologies

·        Champion excellent documentation using Confluence linked to Bit bucket and JIRA

·        Help fine tune the business strategy of our young company

Qualifications

·        Experience in leading dedicated (international) teams

·        Excellent communications skills with proven coaching and training experience

·        Proven project management skills

·        Customer centric and realist

·        Excellent knowledge of C, C++ and Python

·        Good knowledge of Linux, Ubuntu and ROS

·        Knowledge of working with Point Clouds and 3D sensor data

·        Knowledge of Lidars and willing to learn more about Laser based sensors

·        Knowledge of Computer Vision and Automation

Renumeration & Location

The candidate is expected to work on site in Lyngby, Denmark. We are flexible in the negotiations of salary and benefits and offer competitive options.
