Furthermore we will ensure that they get a not only fair, but both a transparent and legal commission for all the revenue they direct to local suppliers.


Would you like to take lead on designing the visual identity in one of Denmark’s most promising tech startups for the international hospitality industry? Then come join our team for an exciting position!

After a successful introduction of PERE.COM to the first markets in Europe we want to expand to more markets, hence we need a much stronger visual identity.

Together with an experienced, highly professional and well funded team you will lead the design of our products (PERE.COM, the platform and sales/investor related material). We are looking for a design expert who has the flair for product ownership and also likes to experiment with UI implementations.

A local hire is preferred.

 

Role & Accountabilities

  • Take product ownership of some of the products and stories

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets together with our front-end engineers

  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like

  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)

  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness and other)

  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback

  • Define style standards on fonts, colors and images

  • Build brand identification alongside key stakeholders 

 

Skills

We currently use these tools for our UX / UI process:

  • Sketch 

  • Zeplin

  • Invision

But we are quite open minded to use other relevant software that you can take ownership of.  The only thing we expect is that you lead the UI process along with some given products and features and can co-operate and deliver them in a proper way to our developers, all the way from idea to deliverable assets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years experience of working as a UX designer with product ownership 

  • Knowledge in HTML/CSS/JS – not afraid to deep-dive into technical solutions

  • Have experience in UX design processes

  • Have been working with remote teams before

  • Very good in communication (visual and spoken)

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

The PERE narrative We set out to fix a fairness problem that’s plagued the hospitality industry for as long as most can remember. At the same time, hotels - responsible for sending restaurants a steady flow of personal referrals - are forced to fork out big bucks just to get guests to their properties, much of that going to online travel agencies who charge up to 30% commissions for referrals. With profits shrinking, you’d think that hotels could simply recover those earnings when they refer their guests to nearby businesses. If they’re paying when they receive a guest referral, shouldn’t they be paid when they make a guest referral? That seems fair. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. That’s because today, the hospitality referral model is a broken, one-way street with no quick and easy way for people to profit when they make a personal referral. That includes especially hotel concierges, whose entire existence is founded on the ability to provide quality referrals. Feeling increasingly overlooked, undervalued and under appreciated in a digital world, they’re eager for an easier and better way to re-stake their claim and profit from sending guests to local businesses.
