We are expanding at a lighting pace and with that so is our team! We are therefore looking for a Finance Director to lead and guide our finance team. 

This unique position will enable the chosen candidate to gain insight into what it takes to scale a fast growing international start-up not only from the finance and commercial side, but also internal stakeholder management as other teams grow.

You will be leading the finance team and be the strategic voice of finance, collaborating with the other teams. This would entail running day to day finance operations, helping expand our business into new countries, taking part in the development of our internal tech tools to support finance and ensuring that the rest of the company is aligned on financial processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the finance team and guide understanding across teams to ensure there is an alignment of internal processes in regards to the financial requirements

  • Take an active role with corporate decision making by providing executive reports and ensuring that business and finance metrics provide up to date consolidated data upon which decisions are based   

  • Lead, guide and analyze monthly reporting and budgeting for apartments, cities and at a consolidated level.

  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and cash management across legal entities

  • Develop and implement internal business processes to ensure consistency of the financial information across all countries and strengthen internal controls and processes

  • Work with tech team to create scalable finance solutions 

  • Develop a highly effective set of financial HR- including but not limited to payroll, local employment tax compliance as well as local employment law compliance 

  • Research local and government tax and filing requirements in new countries and subsequently aid opening of new locations by putting in place the required systems to ensure compliance with local authorities and government tax requirements 

  • Owning financial and tax compliance processes and procedures across different countries 

  • Assist with conceptualizing and drafting financial agreements with vendors and financing partners to optimize the use of debt across LifeX platform

Who you are:

  • Solid accounting background, but also some experience being strategic in terms of understanding needs of a growing complex business

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance / Accounting 

  • You have a proven track record of being a leader and likes to share your knowledge

  • You are curious but focused, have a can-do attitude and can work collaboratively

  • Have a solid system understanding to know when and how to automate processes

  • You have high personal standards, high level of integrity and drive, combined with the ability to meet deadlines through prioritising and organising activities

  • Great English skills (fluent in understanding Danish would help too!)

  • Confident Excel user

  • Based in Copenhagen

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Netsuite or implementation of an ERP system

  • A flair for presenting financial information in a visual and captivating manner
