The whole agriculture- and farming industry is inefficient and broken – we are looking to fix this.

At Biotrino we are growing Chlorella microalgae as a Nordic Superfood – we call it Blonde Chlorella.

Blonde Chlorella contains a lot of great things – including 3x more protein than meat, omega 3+6 fatty acids, vitamins & minerals. If you haven’t heard about it then try googling ‘Chlorella benefits’ and see for yourself.

As they grow in water in a closed system with no waste and no pesticides used, they are also among the most sustainable protein sources – beating soy and pea protein as well.

We started at DTU in April 2018, and have worked intensely to get things up and running. We currently have investments, a working production in Hørsholm, and initial sales.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record within building sales to get our product into the market, and handle the business side of things.

On top of a proven track record, it would be a plus if you have experience from start-ups, and possibly the food sector.

You don’t need to have any knowledge about biotechnology – you can easily get the big picture of how things work.

Here are a few examples of tasks we need done

• Secure additional investments and soft-funding. 

• Map the best sales channels, execute, and get the product out there. 

• Build the organization and team as we grow. 

• Plan and execute an effective but low-cost marketing strategy. 

Generally, it’s important that you are hardworking and get things done. If you are looking for a 9-16 job, this is not for you. Instead if you are looking for an opportunity to fix important problems in a novel way, for fun and profit, then this opportunity if for you. 

You will join a team of 3, where your two co-founders also have a track record.

Your compensation will be in equity, for the first appproximate 6 months, until we have revenue to support paying out salaries.
