Are you an ambitious individual who likes to work with others on multiple projects at a time? Are you organized, responsible, and passionate about TED talks? Do you like being the bridge in projects — connecting, inspiring, and sparring with others? Do you have experience with project management or TEDx?
TEDxCopenhagen is looking for two passionate individuals to join us as Project Lead for our main event in fall 2020(Oct-Nov). The role of the Project Lead is to act as the nexus, the central information spot, storing and sharing all the important information from both the individual teams and the board members, leading up to and during the event.
We are looking for someone who has experience/knowledge of TEDx events and has experience as a project lead, project manager or event manager; someone experienced in budget management, leading and motivating others, but is still ready to get their hands dirty in the project with the rest of the teams.
Further responsibilities include:
Driving the event planning from initiating a kick-off workshop to evaluation & thank-you meet-up after the event
Ensuring that deadlines are followed and that all tasks have an owner
Oversee and track event budgets
Track the timeline, milestones, and progress
Keeping motivation and spirits high among everyone involved
Ensure cooperation, communicate and knowledge-sharing in-between teams (Marketing & PR, Production & Experience, Partnerships, Curation and Community)
In this role, you have a lot of say in the creation and execution of our next main event and will be working closely with the Board and the Team Leaders. Typically, you will have a regular weekly meeting for 1-2 hours(plus 2-3 hours of preparation) with either the Board or Team Leaders with more frequent meetings as we draw closer to the event. These meetings are a group effort and you will be responsible for running them.
Timeline: the first couple of months the Project Lead will join the Community team.
Are you ready to join our team?! It will require a lot of time and skills, but we guarantee you it’s worth it.
