INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATIONS looking for INTERN

Salary Unpaid

Two international foundations are looking for a skilled intern to take part of exciting and ambitious endeavour!

The Henrik Frode Obel Foundation is a new, charitable foundation that supports architecture and design. We award travel grants to students and support other activites that promote architecture and design, but the main activity is annually presenting the OBEL AWARD - a new, international prize for architectural contribution.

In October, the first ever OBEL AWARD was given to Junya Ishigami for his Water Garden project in Japan. We're now looking for someone to help us make sure that the 2020 winning project will be just as mind-blowing as the first one.

You'll be involved in all aspects of the work leading to the jury's selection of the winning project - from presenting and analyzing the submitted proposals to assisting the jury in eliminating them in order to reach at two-three finalists in May/June.

You will also be part of organizing an architecture exhibition in Berlin in May, a talk in Berlin in June, and our PR effort at the Venice Biennale 2020. And, possibly, the internship could lead into a fully-paid job with organizing the award ceremony for October 2020. We may also negotiate a monthly allowance for you internship ('praktikforløb')

Another aspect of your work will be designing/re-launcing of the Can Lis website: http://canlis.dk/ You will be responsible for either designing the new website yourself or handling the job with an external design company.

Can Lis is Jørn Utzon's iconic house on Mallorca. The house is now owned and rented out by the Utzon Foundation. The Utzon Foundation has no secretariat of its own - this is handled by HFO Foundation.

As our intern, you will be working closely with and assisting the Head of Programme for the HFO Foundation. You will be given a high degree of responsibility and flexibility in your work which means that you will be able to leave your mark on it. You must be very, very organized and good at structuring work. You will be expected to work independently at times and be able to master many computer programs, fx Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress/Umbracco, but also work platforms such as Slack, Zoom, Box etc.

The working language is English and Danish and there is quite informal/relaxed workplace atmosphere.
